The quotations are renewed on a frequent basis to keep in step with the evolution of language.

In 2005 Baci decided to update the famous "messages" by choosing phrases with a more ironic tone, a more modern language, combining humour and romanticism, looking at love in a broader sense, including, therefore, affection, friendship, complicity, intimacy. One hundred and fifty new phrases were introduced, numbered and divided into six different sections: Love, Kiss, Friendship, The Two of Us, Men and Women and Word Waltz. Each section had a symbol representing it, and Perugina also created an album where you could save the notes in an organized and lasting way, so as not to lose even one single verse or one of the sharp witticisms that alternately appear inside the most famous chocolates in the world.

Since September 2009, Baci Perugina has made it possible for all of Italy's romantics to become the Authors of the notes that will be printed on the inside paper, thus taking on a leading role in writing part of the brand’s history. This huge initiative, called Piacere d'Autore [Author's Pleasure], will collect, for the entire 2009-2010 season, the sweetest, most captivating, most romantic phrases written by Italians who want to become part of history!
